Sheriff Woody, along with community leader and radio personality Miss Clovia Lawrence of 99.3/105.7 Kiss FM came together to donate and give away Christmas gifts to more than 500 children aged 2-13 last week.
The Walmart on Forest Hill Avenue saw dolls, bicycles, and board games being collected just outside the entrance for families in need, ensuring that as many children as possible would have a full Christmas.
“We are blessed this year and every year to be able to do what we do and have what we have, but not everyone is as fortunate,” said Sheriff Woody. “We should be doing everything we can to help those who need it all year, but especially at this time of year, when giving and extending our blessings to others is an important part of the Christmas season.”
This Holiday Season has routinely been a time of giving for Sheriff Woody, who often partners with community leaders to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to families, as well as Christmas gifts for underprivileged and at-risk populations.
