The Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute, in coordination with the Commonwealth’s Attorneys’ Services Council, is sponsoring a one-day class addressing asset forfeiture at the Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront from 8:30am to 5:00pm on March 7, 2019.

This program is designed for prosecutors, law enforcement, and civilian asset forfeiture coordinators. It is free of charge. Pre-registration is REQUIRED.

The one-day class will cover the basics of asset forfeiture law and procedure, as well as administrative requirements. Instructors include experienced law enforcement officers and prosecutors from the field, including Tom Shaia, Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney, Suffolk, as well as DCJS forfeiture program staff.

Law Enforcement PIC and Prosecutor MCLE credits are pending.
The program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m.
