The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is excited to once again partner with members of the HCSO Volunteer Chaplain Program, Target and the community for Target’s “Heroes and Helpers” event.
On Tuesday, December 11, 2018, deputies and children will share a meal together, prior to their shopping adventure. Each child will team up with a deputy and be given a set amount of money, which they will use to buy presents for their family and friends. After the children have finished shopping the deputies will help them wrap their gifts. The Target Corporation has generously donated funds to support this partnership.
This truly will be an excellent opportunity to help families in need, partner with the community and foster positive relationships between youth and deputies. Media representatives are invited to come to the shopping trip and gift wrapping.
