Once again, the Hampton Sheriff’s Office has partnered with The Easter Bunny Foundation a non-profit organization founded by Eleanor and Sam Meiner of Winter Park, Florida. The foundation partners with law enforcement agencies across the country to provide personal visits and a toy to children in hospitals and pediatric wards. With children of the Peninsula receiving care at Norfolk’s CHKD, Hampton Deputies escorted the Easter Bunny to Healthy Families Partnerships in Hampton and the Downtown Hampton Child Development Center. This marks the 12th consecutive year that Hampton Deputies have volunteered to deliver gifts and smiles to these young children. Nearly 300 children received plush new bunny toys.
