Arlington County Sheriff Elizabeth “Beth” Arthur Awards Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute Scholarships

Arlington, VA – Arlington County Sheriff Beth Arthur presented Arlington County residents, Nicholas M. Rivera and Joseph F. Mazel with a scholarship of $1,000 each.

Mr. Rivera is a currently junior at Virginia Tech and majors in Criminology with a minor in Spanish, National Security and Foreign Affairs; he hopes to pursue a career in national security.  Mr. Mazel is currently a graduating senior at Wakefield High School in Arlington and plans to pursue a degree of criminal justice at George Mason University.
