On Monday, January 14th, Cub Scout Troop 130 Smith Mountain Lake visited the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
During the visit, Sergeant J. P. Nolen and Investigator Ryan King gave the group a tour of the office. Additionally, Deputy Tim Burton gave the troop a K9 demonstration with Khaleesi.
Sheriff Bill Overton had an opportunity to speak with the group about the duties and job requirements of a deputy sheriff.
