Supporting Virginia’s Sheriffs & Deputies

On Thursday, February 27, 2020, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office hosted
a Civilian Response and Casualty Care (CRCC) training at the Franklin
Center.

There were two sessions, four hours each. These sessions provided strategies, guidance, and plans for surviving an active attack event. They combined the civilian response with a medical component, empowering civilians to provide life-saving medical aid before first responders arrive.

The classes were advertised county wide to all citizens and the course was
attended by other local law enforcement, school staff members, and local
church members. Thanks to all the law enforcement help and support and to the people who attended.
