Shenandoah County Sheriff Carter recently represented the Virginia Sheriffs’ Association on August 6 during Governor Ralph Northam’s Virtual Community Town Hall on Racial Equity and Policing Reform. This event provided an opportunity to hear from activists and law enforcement professionals about the future of policing in Virginia.
During the event, participants heard from Norfolk Chief of Police Larry Boone, Herndon Chief of Police Maggie DeBoard, Harrisonburg Chief of Police Eric English, Newport News Chief of Police Steve Drew, and Shenandoah County Sheriff Tim Carter.
Thank you to those who spoke and those who participated. The Virginia Sheriffs’ Association would especially like to thank Sheriff Carter for participating on behalf of the VSA.
