The Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office proudly hosts a female defensive tactics instructor school. This specialized training program is designed to equip female deputies with skills to become defensive tactics instructors.
The course focuses on practical, real-world self-defense techniques and instructor development, ensuring deputies are prepared to train others.
In honor of Women’s History Month, this initiative underscores the critical role of women in law enforcement and their impact on public safety. These female deputies, once they finish their coursework, will pass their training to vulnerable populations in the community, including our seniors during our Senior Self-Defense Classes, as well as to trainees in the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office Training Academy, empowering the next generation of law enforcement officers with these essential skills.
