Supporting Virginia’s Sheriffs & Deputies

The Portsmouth Sheriff’s Office and Portsmouth Public Schools have kicked off the “Coloring with the Community Partners” program, a quarterly initiative designed to engage and inspire Pre-K students across the district. This initiative brought together the City of Portsmouth’s first responders, who joined young learners for a fun and educational coloring experience.

Adding to the spirit of community service, students from Manor High School’s ROTC program assisted in making the event a success. Through this collaboration, students not only enjoyed creative activity but also built positive connections with local first responders, reinforcing a sense of safety and trust in their community.

The “Coloring with the Community Partners” program highlights the power of partnership in shaping young minds and fostering meaningful relationships between students and those who serve and protect them.
