The Roanoke County Sheriff’s Office joined fellow Roanoke County government agencies to co-host the second annual Easter Egg-stravaganza on April 12 at Green Hill Park in Salem, Virginia.
This egg hunt and touch-a-truck event brought out hundreds of families from across the Roanoke Valley. One of the day’s biggest highlights was the helicopter drop where more than 1,000 eggs rained down into the field to the delight of eager children.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for the Sheriff’s Office to connect with the community in a fun, relaxed setting and allowed families to see law enforcement in a new light. Deputies enjoyed interacting with attendees and helping make lasting holiday memories for local families.
