On Tuesday morning, the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office loaded their vehicles and delivered 135 turkeys, along with a bag of sides and drink mixes, to churches, food pantries, seniors, and families in need across Norfolk in time for Thanksgiving.
For more than 12 years, the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office has been donating and delivering turkeys at both Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is the mission of the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office to make a positive difference in the lives of others as far as we can reach and one of the ways we can do that is through service to our community.
The event would not be possible without sponsors including the Sheriff Joe Baron Foundation, Summit, Little Lily Ministries, and Thomas Mayhew.
