The Richmond City Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) proudly joined forces with CBS Channel 6 to support this year’s Anthem LemonAid Stand fundraiser, an annual community tradition dedicated to benefit children battling cancer at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Together, RCSO staff and CBS Channel 6 volunteers sold a cup of lemonade for $1 to passersby. Also, a representative from Chick Fil-A raised $3,332 to dunk Sheriff Dr. Antionette V. Irving in the dunk tank.
Funds raised through the LemonAid Stand directly support pediatric cancer treatment and research, providing critical resources for children and families in need. RCSO’s participation reflects its ongoing dedication to community engagement and service beyond the walls of the Richmond City Justice Center.
The partnership with CBS Channel 6 brought added visibility and excitement to the event, highlighting the power of local collaboration. RCSO looks forward to continuing this meaningful tradition and thanks everyone who contributed to helping kids fight cancer with courage and hope.
