The Arlington County Sheriff’s Office was proud to spend the past weekend connecting with our diverse community through a series of meaningful events. First, our deputies joined the Arlington County Police Department for Pupusas with the Police and Sheriff, an opportunity to share a meal, listen, and build trust with residents. Then, we participated in the Hispanic Community Festival, where deputies engaged with families, celebrated culture, and shared resources about programs and services available through the Sheriff’s Office. On Saturday night, our team partnered with Arlington County Police, Fire, and Emergency Communications Center to coordinate, staff, and participate in the 23rd Annual 9/11 Memorial 5K Race. This powerful event honored the lives lost and the sacrifices made on September 11, 2001, while also strengthening the bonds between first responders and the community we serve.
We are grateful to our deputies and staff who gave their time to represent the Sheriff’s Office throughout the weekend. Their commitment to service both inside the detention facility and out in the community remains central to our mission of building trust, transparency, and strong partnerships across Arlington County.
